Reorder PDF pages with drag and drop

Every page becomes a thumbnail you can drag. Move the pages into the order you want, then download the rearranged PDF.

Nothing is uploaded. Your browser reads the file and rebuilds it in the new order, and the original stays as it was.

How to reorder PDF pages

The grid order is the export order, which makes this the simplest way to organize PDF pages. There is nothing else to configure.

  1. Add your PDF

Click Select PDF, or drag one or more files onto the page.

  2. Drag pages into place

Pick up a thumbnail and drop it where it belongs. A dashed outline shows where the page will land, and the numbering updates when you drop it.

  3. Download

Click Download PDF to save a file with the pages in the new order.

Putting pages from different files in one order

Add several PDFs at once and they share a grid, so pages from one file can sit between pages of another. That is how PDF Garden merges PDF files in a custom order: arrange everything first, then export once.

If a page should not be in the final file at all, remove it before downloading. If you only want part of a long document, extract those pages instead. The PDF organizer home page covers the rest of the workspace.

FAQ

What people ask most before moving pages around.

How do I rearrange the pages in a PDF?
Add the PDF and drag any thumbnail where you want it. A dashed outline shows where the page will land, and the numbering updates when you drop it. Download PDF saves the file in that order.
Can I delete a page while I reorganize the document?
Yes. Click a page to deselect it and it turns grey and drops out of the export. One more click brings it back, so order and selection can change in the same pass.
Can I mix pages from two PDFs into one order?
Yes. Add the PDFs together and their pages share one grid. Drag a page from one file to sit between pages of another, then download once.
Does reordering change my original file?
No. The drag happens in the browser and produces a new file. The PDF on your device is untouched.
